Canine Academy in Bolivia, NC is your leading family owned dog training facility offering doggy daycare and boarding services. 

A well-behaved dog is important for both the dog and members of your family. Through our training classes, we can help you teach your dog key things like:
  • Correct unwanted behaviors such as jumping, biting, barking and potty training advice
  • How to walk on a leash
  • Come when called
  • Sit and down stay
  • Wait and leave it
  • Manners meeting and greeting others on a leash
  • Basic Tracking 
  • Basic Agility 
Owning a dog is a lifetime commitment. Training will open the lines of communication and help you and your dog. Your dog will follow basic commands such as Come, Sit, Down, and Stay with one verbal and hand command. By nature dogs are pack animals and need a society full of rules and regulations. Dogs like to be busy, so using basic obedience is a great way to keep your dog out of trouble. Basic obedience will teach your dog to respect you and other family members. 

Our Doggy Day Care provides a fun and safe environment for your dog to play and learn! Playing and exercising all day will make your dog a calmer happier dog at home!

Owners Lorretta and Allen Pyeatt have studied animal training since 1985. Lorretta Pyeatt is highly trusted and has many qualifications, such as: 

 

  • Animal Trainer since 1985
  • American Kennel Club (AKC) certified tester for Canine Good Citizen program (CGC, ACGC, UCGC, Trick dog certification NKN, TKI, TKA, and TKP)
  • Animal Behavioral College Mentor Trainer since 2000
  • AKC Certified Canine Ambassador
  • Tester / Observer Working Canines Pet Therapy and Service Dog Certification
  • Showing and Training her own dogs in AKC Obedience and Conformation Trials
  • Began showing dogs with their kennel Loral in the 1980's, which has produced more than 100 Champion Rottweilers since
  • Loral has also produced more Best In Show female Rottweilers than any other breeder in the United States
  • Founder of B.A.R.K. and B.A.R.K. for reading

 

Our belief is simple - that every dog and every owner has individual needs and we are here to meet those needs. We use voice and hand commands with praise as our training methods. Dog training should be FUN for the dog and owners. Our daycare dogs are allowed to run and play all day in the grassy yard around our facility as well as a climate controlled indoor facility. We offer boarding along with daycare and training! All of our boarded dogs are sure to have fun all day along with our doggy daycare pups!
